Thames Valley Police announced on 25/08/2026 that one of their officers, Karl Ralph, a detective sergeant based at the Kidlington headquarters has been charged.
The 48 year old has been charged with one count of engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour, and two counts of intentional strangulation. The officer has been suspended from duty.
They were due to appear in Luton magistrates court today.
Mr Ralph, from Bicester, committed the alleged offences between January 31, 2024, and October 7, 2025.
